MSc Business Development and Innovation
Describe your experience of studying at Ulster in 3 words
Inspiring, eye-opening & motivating
Why did you choose your postgraduate course?
I chose to study Business Development and Innovation at Ulster Business School because it was the only program I found to combine a variety of business topics in one year. This was very convenient for me because it would help me to develop my business that I used to run and I didn’t want to be away from it for more than one year. The BD & I was designed in a way to link all its subjects together and there was a focus on linking the theoretical part with real world practice. This was great for me and my business because it allowed me to apply what I’d learned. Within this program, I discovered a whole new field that I didn’t have much knowledge about, (just the concept), which was ENTREPRENEURSHIP. BD & I opened my eyes to this field’s wider dimensions and increased my appetite to research and learn about this topic more.
Now, I am almost at the end of my first year in Ph.D. in the field of Entrepreneurship. This was not part of my immediate plan, but, thanks to BD&I and Ulster University Business School, I am now into the research field. This should expand my business frontiers to be much wider than I thought and planned.
What advice would you give someone considering postgraduate study?
There are so many subjects in Ulster University that you should have a look at. Everybody in the university is very supportive and helpful and seriously committed to providing students with a great academic and social life experience. I expanded my friends’ network from the USA to China when doing my studies at Ulster University. If you are looking for a life-changing experience, not only studying, then you should think of carrying out your studies at Ulster University.
